Intripid trip planner is an AI-powered travel planning tool designed to help travelers and travel advisors create personalized multi-day itineraries through an interactive calendar and structured workflow. The project involved designing the product from scratch, building a clear planning system that organizes stays, activities, and schedules into a single intuitive interface across desktop and mobile.

Challenge

Planning a multi-day trip requires managing several moving parts such as accommodations, activities, travel times, and daily schedules. Existing travel planning tools often spread these tasks across multiple screens or separate platforms, making it difficult for users to visualize their itinerary, adjust plans, and collaborate efficiently. The challenge was to design a system that simplifies complex trip planning while keeping the experience structured, flexible, and easy to navigate.

What I did

I designed the trip planner from the ground up, starting with research and competitive analysis of travel planning tools to understand user expectations and gaps in the market. I structured the product around a calendar-based workflow that allows users to visually organize their itinerary day by day. I created wireframes, interaction flows, and visual designs for both desktop and mobile, introduced modular activity blocks for stays, activities, and commutes, and designed collaborative features that allow travelers to invite others and plan trips together.

Impact

The final product provides a clear and structured way to plan complex trips through a timeline-driven interface and modular activity system. Users can easily add, edit, and rearrange activities while maintaining full visibility of their itinerary. The experience reduces planning friction, improves organization, and enables collaborative trip planning in a single platform.
